This seminar explores the religious, mystical, and philosophical thought of the composers of Russia's Silver Age, circa 1890 to 1917. Scriabin, Rebikov, Rimsky-Korsakov, early Stravinsky,
and early Prokofiev is part of the mix, along with Marius Petipa, Ivan Vsevolozhsky, the artists of the World or Art movement, and the dancers and choreographers of the Ballets Russes.
