Trego & Cocoa: a cozy afternoon of warm beverages and singing

A short Sunday afternoon concert of beautiful choral classics from all around the world: from England to Haiti to Bulgaria, interspersed with some gloriously saccharine vocal jazz.

A concert free and open to all, conducted by Stephanie Tubiolo.

About the Artist:

Bill Trego is the revered former director of the Freshmen Singers at Princeton University, and for a brief spell too was the director of the Glee Club. In 2014, the Glee Club decided to honor his legacy at Princeton, and in particular his great gift for training young singers and instilling in them an understanding of, and love for great music, by naming a new choir within the department ‘The William Trego Singers’. Through the study and performance of repertoire chosen from across the entire range of choral literature, singers develop their skillsets in vocal production, sight singing, and musicality. Highlights from the ensemble’s past three years have included Haydn’s Te Deum in C, participation in a recording of Coronation Music, and a performance of Verdi’s Requiem alongside the Princeton University Glee Club.
