Concerto Competition Winners Announced

The winners of this year’s Princeton University Orchestra Concerto Competition are: 

Leland Ko ’20, cello  (Ernest Bloch: Schelomo Rhapsodie Hébraïque)

Solène Le Van ’18, soprano (Samuel Barber: Knoxville Summer of 1915, Op. 24)

Hana Mundiya ’20, violin (Sergei Prokofiev: Violin Concerto No. 2 in G Minor, Op. 63)

Henry Peters ’20, marimba (Emmanuel Séjourné: Concerto for Marimba and Strings)

“I’m thrilled to be able to play a concerto with the full orchestra. Many people have never heard a marimba concerto before, and I’m excited to be able to show this great piece to so many people.”

Ko, Le Van, and Mundiya will perform their winning selections with the Princeton University Orchestra in Richardson Auditorium on Friday & Saturday, March 9-10, 2018 at 7:30PM. Peters will perform with the orchestra in a concert in the 2018-19 season.
