Tubist Cara Giovanetti '20 presents her senior recital as part of the Certificate in Music Performance.

Free and open to all. No tickets required.

About the Artist:

Cara Giovanetti is a senior in the Physics department, pursuing certificates in tuba performance and music composition. Originally choosing to play the tuba in order to avoid practicing the trombone in middle school, she has since performed with the Princeton University Orchestra and Princeton University Sinfonia, and has studied with Brian Brown while at Princeton. Outside of tuba performance, she is also a member of the Princeton Undergraduate Composers Collective and has had a number of original works premiered at Princeton, Top Brass being the fourth premiered in Taplin auditorium. Recently she has also begun to think about new instrument design, and is constructing and composing for an instrument that selects and amplifies overtones in environmental sounds. After graduation she plans to attend graduate school and pursue a Ph.D. in Physics.
