Pianist Alexandra Lee Rice '21 presents a senior recital as part of the Certificate in Music Performance.

About the Artist:

Alexandra Rice ‘21 is a senior in the economics department, receiving certificates in musical performance and political economy. Prior to coming to Princeton, Rice studied with Zena Ilyashov in St. Louis, Missouri for 10 years. She currently studies with Dr. Margaret Kampmeier from Princeton University and the Manhattan School of Music. Rice is a prizewinner of many competitions, including the Midwest International Piano Competition, US New Star Etude Competition, SIUE Young Pianists Competition, MTNA Missouri State Junior Piano Competition and West Central Division MTNA Piano Competition, Fite Family Young Artists Piano Competition, and St. Louis Area Music Teachers Young Artist Competition. She is also a current G.A., Jr. and Kathryn M. Buder Foundation scholarship recipient. At Princeton, she served as the Music Director of the Princeton Pianist Ensemble and performs with Opus, Princeton’s premier chamber music society.
