About the Artist:

MEGAN ORMSBEE is a senior who is moments away from completing her degree in
Anthropology and the Certificate in Vocal Performance. She has been singing since she can
remember, imitating her mother at the piano and singing along with everything she could.
She started taking lessons at age 11 with Jane Günter-McCoy, who taught her until she went
to college. During her four years at Princeton, Megan has studied voice with Martha Elliott,
and she has participated in Glee Club, Chamber Choir, the Princeton Opera Company, and
class operatic performances. She has also worked at the Mendel Music Library as a Public
Services Student. Music has been a central part of Megan’s life at Princeton, leading to
some of the strongest friendships she made there, and providing a creative outlet which
complemented the academic rigor of the Princeton experience. She looks forward to
performing this concert as a culmination of her work at Princeton University, despite the
unforeseen circumstances. Whether in person or virtually, Megan has cherished the continued
support and encouragement of her friends, family, and teachers, and she wants to express her
joy and gratitude for everything they have done!
