My Work Focuses on: 
medieval Arabic music theory, notation, manuscript studies.
My Other Interests Include: 
Andalusian music, both in medieval Iberia and in contemporary North Africa; notation in medieval Europe.


More about Marcel Camprubí

Marcel Camprubí is a PhD candidate in musicology at Princeton University, where he is writing a dissertation on rhythm and the use of notation in early medieval Arabic treatises on music, particularly focusing on al-Fārābī (870-950). Before coming to Princeton, he completed his undergraduate studies in Barcelona and obtained an MSt in Medieval Studies from the University of Oxford.
