Princeton University Concerts presents Benjamin Grosvenor, Piano

Since making his Princeton University Concerts (PUC) debut seven years ago when he was just 24-years-old, British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor has firmly established himself as one of the most important pianists to emerge in several decades. The program that he brings for his long-awaited return is a testament to the jaw-dropping range of his virtuosity — the profound intimacy of Brahms’ Intermezzi Op. 117 and the passion of Robert Schumann’s great Fantasy in C Major Op. 17 (“perhaps the most impassioned music I have ever written,” in the composer’s own words) will culminate with Mussorgsky’s fiendishly difficult and imaginative Pictures at an Exhibition.
