Kevin Deas Has served on voice faculties of Princeton University 1992-1998, 2015-2017. Westminster Choir College, Wilkes University, Lawrenceville Prep and also currently at The George School. Cumulatively, over 20 years of studio teaching experience.

Highlights of Solo appearances: Multiple projects with the New York Philharmonic, and the Chicago Symphony. Also the Symphonies of Philadelphia, Houston, San Francisco, Dallas, Baltimore, the National Symphony, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Hong Kong, Tokyo, L’Orchestre de La Suisse Romande, Detroit, La Sinfonia all Scala, Opera Orchestra of New York, San Diego, Minnesota, Saint Paul’s Chamber Orchestra, Alabama, Seattle, Vancouver, Montreal, Colorado, Rochester, Buffalo, Virginia, Calgary, Quebec and the Florida Orchestra. The National Symphonies of Mexico and Costa Rica.

Has been engaged by conductors: Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Sir Georg Solti, Alan Gilbert, Robert Spano, Marin Alsop, Richard Westenberg, Charles Dutoit, Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Chailly, JoAnn Falletta, Gerard Schwartz among many others.

Baroque Orchestras: Boston, the Handel-Haydn Society of Boston, Vox Amadeus, Portland (Ore), Baldwin-Wallace and Winter Park (Fl) Bach Festivals and London’s Handel Society. Opera credits including fully and semi-staged: Boston Baroque, Alliance Francaise (NY), Opera Boston and the New York City Opera. Title role in Porgy and Bess at major Opera venues throughout Europe.
Theater and music theater productions include: Riverdance Tour ‘ 98-00, Incidental music for “Angels in America” (pulitzer and Tony award winner) and the Soundtrack for “ Dead Man Walking” (Oscar winner).


Prizes: 1st Prize, Hans Werner-Henze Biennale (Munich), the Bruce Yarnell Award, the Dave Brubeck Institute’s Artist of the Year Award, The Arkansas Traveler’s Award (presented by then Governor Beebee).
