David Kellett has appeared in over 45 principal and secondary roles in productions of opera and operetta during his career including numerous world and American premieres. His students have been accepted for post-graduate programs at the Royal Academy of Music in London, New England Conservatory, Northwestern University, the Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College: The New School, Longy School of Music of Bard College, Michigan University, LSU, University of Kentucky, University of Memphis and the American Lyric Theatre.  His students have attended summer programs such as the Merola program, the Aspen Festival, Opera Iowa, Des Moines Metro Opera, College Light Opera, Ohio Light Opera, Amherst Early Music Summer Festival, Boston Early Music Festival, American Bach Soloists Academy, Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute, Early Music Vancouver Baroque Vocal Programme, Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute, Westminster Choir College’s coOperative program, the Johanna Meier Opera Theatre Institute and many others. While not all his students pursue vocal music as a career, many have gone on to music-related careers, becoming composers, orchestral and choral conductors, stage-directors, collaborative pianists, dancers, actors and actresses in movies, television, and in Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.
