Graduate Research Funding supports the travel and equipment needs of graduate students during their period of enrollment. Funds are offered to enrolled graduate students, including DCE status (years 1-5 for Composition and years 1-6 for musicology).
- Apply for funding through SAFE
- Search Graduate Research (Composition or Musicology), click on it and apply for funding. Please include a detailed explanation and budget in your application. Upload receipts and any booking confirmations in the application. (Please note: non-US citizens may be subject to a 14% tax withholding on funding requests.)
- MANDATORY: If domestic OR international travel is planned, the travel enrollment in “Enroll my Trip (enrollmytrip.princeton.edu) must be completed approximately one month prior to the trip. Funds cannot be disbursed if this incomplete.
- Once funding is awarded, you will receive an email from SAFE. Log in to your application and accept the award. The award must be accepted in order for payment to be processed. Funds will be deposited into your bank account of record with the University, or a check will be issued if no account is registered.
