Elijah Shina, from Louisville, KY, has been a percussionist and guest conductor of the Princeton University Orchestra and Sinfonia while also studying partial differential equations as part of his Mathematics concentration and dancing with the Princeton TapCats. A former Glee Club member, he remembers the magic of the first time that he performed in the Princeton University Chapel, singing Durufle’s Requiem—and how the music’s beauty almost made his heart stop in that moment. Those experiences performing with talented, interesting, and diverse musicians is what he will miss most about being at Princeton.
“So many amazing musicians have invited me to play so much amazing music with them. I will miss getting to play with such talented, interesting, and diverse groups.”
