Sinfonia performing on stage for April 2022 concert

Enjoy an evening of symphonic music exploring a range of sonorities from the turbulent dreamworld of an Icelandic warrior in Nielsen’s Saga-Drøm to some of the sunniest strains composed for orchestra in Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8. And, why not experience a Bach keyboard concerto closer to the way Bach would have had it – performed on harpsichord. Richard Qiu ’23 will perform as harpsichord soloist the entire Concerto in D minor for harpsichord and strings, BWV 1052. Sinfonia’s program includes the world premiere of Benjamin Edelson’s new work for orchestra, Dusk, and a special performance by the Sinfonia Clarinet Ensemble under the direction of Jo-Ann Sternberg.
