Gulli Björnsson Graduate Student: Composition

Gulli Björnsson (b. 1991) is a guitarist and composer from Iceland whose music typically ties electronics, instruments and visuals to experiences in nature. Gulli’s music has been described as “hypnotic” (News Gazette),  “a knockout – wondrously inventive”  (Soundboard Magazine) and “modern, occasionally discordant, but still accessible” (Classical Guitar Magazine).

Currently he is exploring ways to utilize computers into his composition process by creating various small computer programs that make complex processes more intuitive and developing a user friendly environment in Max for pre-programmed live-audio processing through his own audio effects.
